Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
The Māori Health Directorate is looking for a Senior Insights Analyst to deliver skilled analytics, modelling and insights to deliver improved health outcomes and equity for Māori as outlined in the Māori Health Strategy. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to a high profile transition and transformation programme by influencing strategic decision making through data and evidence. You will be analysing rich data sets to solve complex problems, modelling the current state and pose scenarios for the future, and producing insights that guide strategic decision making. In particular, you will identify opportunities to improve health outcomes and achieve equity for Māori.
Mō tō mātou rōpū ' About our team
The Māori Health Directorate is focused on delivery of the Māori Health Strategy ' Taurite Ora at Capital & Coast and Te Pae Amorangi at Hutt Valley. Developed under the korowai of the Māori Partnership Board the strategy it sets out an action plan for how it sees its aims being achieved. It represents a wero / challenge - to collaborate with our workforce, Māori partners, iwi, communities and whānau to become a truly pro-equity organisation. We are focused on championing Māori health development; advocating on behalf of Māori; ensuring our district remains focused on delivering appropriate health services to Māori; and funding a range of Māori providers and providers of Māori-specific initiatives.

This role requires someone who can identify problems and develop creative solutions, work with and integrate large and complex datasets, model the current state and pose scenarios for the future, build arguments and stories informed by strong analytics that drive new perspectives, and produce insights that translate numbers into strategic decisions and investment. You will be adaptable and flexible in nature to navigate and thrive in an evolving environment and confident in your problem solving abilities.
