We currently have an opportunity for a part time Practice Nurse to join our integrated health service team on Campus. This is an interesting role in a service providing nurse-led primary care to students. Our multi-disciplinary team is forward thinking and focused on innovation to improve the health and wellbeing of our students.

This is a part-time role for 15 hours a week, to be worked across Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Salary will be in the range of $71,037 to $100,067 prorated, per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This role is based on our Hillcrest Campus.

As a registered nurse with a current practising certificate with experience working in primary care, you will be excited to work with a diverse client group at our Campus. With experience working in general health, sexual health and mental health, you will understand the needs of our clients and provide professional confidential services at all times.

You will have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. You will thrive on team work activities and have the ability to work flexibly and positively in a rapidly changing environment. If you can speak fluently in a language other than English that would be an asset.

Student Health Hauora Ākonga, provides holistic, high quality, responsive and cost-effective services to students from modern premises on both the Hamilton and Tauranga Campuses. Our purpose is to enhance student health and wellbeing for success at the University of Waikato and beyond.

You will be part of an integrated health team including Registered Nurses Mental Health & Wellbeing, Counsellors, Social Worker, Health Promotion and Violence Prevention Coordinators, General Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Prescribers, Practice Nurses, Chaplaincy and Administrators.

Student Health Service offers services to all current our students and centre is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 9:00am - 4:30pm and Wednesday: 9:30am - 4:30pm.
