Your Opportunity

Team Global Express has an exciting opportunity for a dispatcher to join their Hamilton team that is predominantly based at a key customer site.

As the Dispatcher you will manage the day-to-day processing of all inbound and outbound freight to ensure that we deliver high quality freight forwarding solutions to our customers. You will be customer-focussed, ensuring that all customer requirements are met, and revenue targets are achieved.

Your strengths will lie within your planning and delivery skills. You will be organised, provide attention to detail, be flexible and have the ability to change priorities at short notice.

What you’ll bring to this role

To be successful in this role, you could have the following experience:
As the Dispatcher, you will:

- Oversee compliance & fleet presentation requirements
- Resolve any internal & external customer issues and increase satisfaction levels
- Assist with continuous improvement of KPIs
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
- Efficiently use and allocate fleet
- Engage in effective communication with customers
- Manage fleet, drivers, and dispatching
- Administration, monitoring and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
- Assist with continuous improvement of KPIs

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in the transport/logistics industry
- Knowledge of operational costing
- Proven ability in leading Health and Safety
- Forklift license including OSH - Preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods practice and procedure.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and Transport law
- Geographical Knowledge of the North Island.
