**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The primary focus of this role is to provide leadership for ministerial support, speeches, and events activities and ensure appropriate coordination across the function.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Experience (in the range of at least 8+ years) in communication roles, supporting Ministers, event management, and with experience leading a team of professionals.
- Ability to critically analyse, interpret and simplify complex information to make well-reasoned decisions and to improve the accessibility of information for others.
- Politically aware and able to work on multiple projects often with short deadlines.
- Experience in risk and issues management and ability to raise these issues to those who need to know.
- Ability to influence and constructively challenge and to build effective relationships with all levels of the organisation and with stakeholders, helping others to embrace change and achieve desired outcomes.
