As a Community Support Worker, you will take on tasks that are dynamic and will depend on the needs and dreams of each person. You will support people to find and follow those making friends, having fun, connecting and contributing to their local communities, continuing to grow personally, and to find work, education, and other meaningful occupation. A particular focus will be on assisting people to gain life and work experience, to develop skills which will help them into employment. This might be in open employment - ordinary jobs available locally, or supported self-employment via social enterprises and micro-enterprises. Thats a big ask, so we need a really special team. We are looking for at least 3 X Community Support Workers who are energetic and passionate. This is a full-time role, where employees will be required to work at least 36 hours during a six-day week, including weekends. Holiday will be every Thursday. People with hobbies and interests and skills that they will enjoy sharing with others. It could be drama, music, art, dance, entrepreneurialism, the environment, horticulture, hospitality, sports, or something completely different. We need people who are well connected to their communities, and will help others connect to them too. You need to be a natural teacher, be observant and intuitive, genuinely respectful, and appreciative of diversity, be kind, fun and patient.

**What you would do**:

- Carry out all duties with care and compassion towards clients, keeping their needs as a priority
- Cooking and feeding clients as per their dietary requirements
- Make sure clients take the correct medicine, and at scheduled times
- Help patient/clients with their personal hygiene such as wash, dress and eat
- Carry out housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming and cleaning
- Assist clients to attend their appointments
- Provide support to clients rehabilitation in areas such as social skills and walking
- Arranging social and daily activities while providing companionship, friendship and emotional support

**Full time, 36 hours**

Monday to Friday with Thursday as weekly day off (expected work hours between 3 pm to 9 pm)

Saturday and Sunday (expected work hours between 10 am-4 pm)
