A senior level national Sales Manager role where you will lead a large NZ team with 9 direct reports, and up to 100 other staff (many part-time working remotely).
Armed with **National Key Account Management and Leadership** experience, you will be responsible for maximizing profitability, and managing and strengthening relationships with national key accounts. You must have sold into accounts at Head Office level. Such as Foodstuffs, Progressive, Whitcoulls or Paperplus for example. And have an excellent understanding of how they operate with key suppliers.

**THE ROLE**
Your core responsibilities are to lead your team and facilitate relationships to manage the development, communication, implementation, monitoring and achievement of all strategies, business development plans, annual sales plans and be responsible for profitability for New Zealand.
- Lead field managers, monitor appropriate AM and Merchandiser call rates, travel times and call schedules to ensure optimum efficiencies.
- Work closely with marketing and develop business strategies that ensure the delivery of growth and profitability.
- Lead presentations and negotiations.
- Identify, engage and develop relationships with other national retail partners.
- Manage, lead and direct a large team consisting of 7 Business Managers / Category Managers and 2 National Account Managers, who in-turn manage up to 100 staff across NZ.
- Lead a remote WFH workforce.
- Lead change management to ensure the effectiveness and profitability of the business
- Ensure you are spending approximately 60% of your time in the field (with staff and key accounts) with the remainder of your week being devoted to forecasting, sales planning, costs analysis, admin etc.

- Intermediate to advanced Excel, Word, Outlook and CRM management skills.
- High energy, enthusiastic, self-motivated with excellent time management.
- An ability to operate effectively under pressure and to respond professionally.
**REMUNERATION & BENEFITS**
- A generous base salary is on offer ranging from $120-$140K based on experience (inclusive of WFH expenses).

- Flexibility (this role could be ideal for a parent as you can plan your day around your personal schedule within reason), while still doing the 40 hours a week required to perform in the role (and being available for self-planned work trips away).
