**About The Role**:
Reporting to the Group Manager Commercial & Strategy and leading a finance team with a high engagement level, the CFO will focus on immediate delivery and continuity of the momentum this team has built. Key responsibilities include the provision of:

- strategic financial & commercial advice, insights and leadership across all aspects of Council business
- an effective business partnering model, with best practice systems and reporting
- strong leadership fostering a spirit of teamwork and unity that embraces collaboration
- effective relationships with stakeholders, including the Mayor, Councillors and Community Board members, as well as external auditors, financial and risk related institutions.

**Skills & Experience**:
A passion for leading people and encouraging teams to thrive in their work is important, as is a commitment to leading continuous improvement and transformational change. Having confidence and experience when presenting to boards/council/executive teams will be important to success.

A background in local government is desirable, however having experience in a relevant public sector organisation will also be valuable.

**Salary Range**:
The appointing salary for this role will be between $137,539 and $161,810 based on skills and experience.
