The opportunity has arisen for 1 or 2 part time roles to cover weekends and public holidays, working in one of the most extensive indoor plant collections in New Zealand. You will be required to assist with the running of the day to day operations of the conservatories.

As a Parks and Gardens Maintenance Officer for our Conservatories you will assist with the maintenance of the plant collections within the conservatories and nursery areas. This will include watering, some maintenance and keeping the houses at a high standard of presentation. You will be required to assist in the wider garden with watering our plant collection in pots when required as well as occasionally other duties as required. This is part time role is to cover weekends and public holidays, most likely sharing weekends with another part time team member to ensure cover.

The role
- Work as part of a close knit team but also be able to work independently.
- Public interaction is a requirement with visitors
- Attention to detail is important

Qualifications and experience
- Interest in plants and horticulture, ideally National Certificate Horticulture or extensive experience in a similar role.
- Current drivers license preferable

Salary - $27.81 to $32.49 per hour
