**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
This is a great opportunity for an experienced people leader who has worked in a similar large complex organisation, accustomed to working to tight deadlines and making improvements in the receivables area. Someone with proven experience in leading billing and receipting strategy, including but not limited to payment options, billing automation and refunds.
Reporting to the Credit and Collections Manager, the Accounts Receivable (AR) Team Lead is responsible for leading the billing and receipting function to ensure the team and AR processes operate efficiently and effectively.
As Team Lead, you’ll enjoy assisting with the day to day tasks as well as being seen as a Change Champion, implementing continuous improvements that streamline and standardise our processes to improve efficiency, visibility and compliance across receivables processes.
Through regular monitoring of billing and receipting transactions and partnering with internal and external stakeholders, the role requires a mindset of continual process improvement and strong leadership to ensure the best outcomes are achieved for our internal and external stakeholders.

Please note this is a permanent, fulltime (37.5 hours/ week) opportunity, with a salary range of **$71,301- $82,000** depending on qualifications and experience.

The Shared Transaction Centre provides a platform that enables the University to move toward best practice for financial processing, administration efficiency and improve service delivery across the organisation. It utilises the best use of resources, systems, skills and expertise (economies of scale and skill). It supports development of a service user ethos and improves user-facing services.
The Team Lead, Accounts Receivable reports to the Credit and Collections Manager within Shared Transaction Centre. Manager - Shared Transaction Centre reports directly to Chief Financial Officer.
**He kōrero mōu | About you**
You have successfully led a team in your previous employment, demonstrated effective coaching and team motivational skills in a large complex environment. You have a leadership style that celebrates wins and inspires the team to embrace new opportunities with a positive approach.
You have experience of investigation of complex customer issues and proven experience in the end to end accounts receivable function. You are customer focused, with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft office and a thorough understanding of Peoplesoft financials is preferred.

You will have:
- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to create a high performing, motivated team
- Experience in having operational ownership of financially focused business processes with wide ranging stakeholders
- Experience in accounts receivable roles with ability of understanding and meeting Financial Accounting requirements in relation to Accounts Receivable management
- A strong and proven track record in continuous improvement processes and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills as well as able to pick up the internal, industry specific software quickly
- You will thrive in highly fast-paced, high-volume environment, with excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
