**Job Description** Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
We are on the hunt for a Communications & Marketing Lead to join our Career Development & Employability Services (CDES) team, working directly to achieve our vision of **‘confident, career literate and future-ready graduates that are connected to their communities, Waipapa Taumata Rau and the evolving world of work’.**
The key purpose of this role is to build the profile, reputation and discoverability of CDES, developing and implementing the strategy for our digital engagement and user experience portfolio.
A collaborative, innovative Communications professional, you will be involved in:
- Developing and delivering persuasive content, both digitally and in printed publications
- Showcasing, communicating and promoting our services and success stories to internal and external partners
- Taking a student-centric approach to deliver key digital resource initiatives in an incremental, MVP fashion, increasing reach and discoverability
This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, on a 9-month contract. The salary range is $83,000 - $93,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. For more in-depth information, please refer to the Position Description.
**He kōrero mōu | About you**
We are looking for a team member who enjoys working with people, wants to be part of a dynamic team, is an organised self-starter, has excellent communication and digital skills and can work alongside a diverse range of stakeholders.
Ideally, you will have a strong drive to create curiosity in others and tell inspiring, engaging stories. You will bring solid experience in social media and be comfortable creating content for varied audiences and implementing a successful social media strategy.
Proven experience in project management, a strong analytical mindset and a passion for data analysis and interpretation is preferred.
**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
- Experience in a range of digital engagement and communications activities for specific and diverse audiences
- The ability to build relationships and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels within the University environment
- Experience in strategic communications, including developing communications strategies and plans, internal communications, and more
- Proven ability to plan, edit and write content for a variety of channels, including website content
- Experience or expertise in social media
- Stand-out communication and copywriting skills
- Proven project management skills with a consistent ability to meet deadlines
- Experience working in larger complex environments is advantageous
- Degree in Communications and Marketing, IT or equivalent discipline or similar experience is preferred
- Proficiency communicating in te reo Māori would be an advantage
