**About Us**

Born of blind ambition, endless optimism and a disused basement 40 years ago, Pynenburg and Collins Architects have cultivated a name for ourselves as a respected commercial and residential design practice. Across the years the same ethos and passion for creating Brilliant Architecture that enhances the way kiwis live, work and play has been at the core of everything we do. Today we have a dedicated team of 27 registered architects, architectural technicians, graduates, interior designers and support staff across our two brands, with studios in Christchurch and Wellington.

**The Opportunity**

This newly created role is an incredible opportunity for someone who has strong business acumen and leadership experience who wants to contribute to the continued success of our thriving practice. You will be guiding our management team through positive change and lead the execution of it. Operating as part of the broader leadership team you’ll have ownership in developing, maintaining and continually looking to improve the integrity of our business. You’ll ensure our strategy is clearly communicated to all staff in order to deliver our company goals and be responsible for bringing everyone in the team along ensuring our architectural design delivery is world class.
- Have solid understanding of the major business management processes e.g. client delivery and relationship management, business planning, self-managing teams, finance and strategy development.
- Exhibit a high level of curiosity, ability to build relationships across the business and comfort in dealing with ambiguity.
- Excel in solving strategic business challenges including collaborating with others and delegating to the wider team to get things implemented.
- Demonstrate a creative approach to problem solving with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- We want someone to work with the board to create a culture of accountability that fits with our staff focus.
