We are a registered charity whose goal is to find caring homes for Greyhounds leaving the racing industry. To do this, we match Greyhounds to adopters, prepare hounds for pet adoption through our foster programme, and ensure the care and safety of Greyhounds transitioning to life as a pet. We support a thriving community of owners and hounds; and best practice is at the centre of everything that we do.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Marketing Team Lead with creation and curation of relevant content for greyhound owners, prospective adopters and foster carers across all of our digital channels.
- Contribute to the development of the digital marketing and social media strategy as part of our wider marketing strategy.
- Update our current social media channels, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn, with appropriate and timely mission

- Manage the website content calendar to ensure that the site is up to date, key information is easily found and shared and that major campaigns are prioritised.
- Assist with production and distribution of the regular e-newsletter.
- Assist the Marketing Team Lead in creating and distributing Press Releases and pitching stories to the media.
- Work with the Marketing Team Lead and Events and Volunteer Coordinator to manage the digital marketing of NZ wide events, such as the Adopt a Greyhound Month or Annual Street Appeal.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the digital fundraising strategy including online donations on our website, online auctions of donated goods and services and membership communications to regular donors and partners.

**A bit about you**:

- You are a motivated and enthusiastic new grad with a qualification ideally in communications or marketing;
- A highly collaborative team member who is willing to go the extra mile;
- Passionate about the welfare of animals;
- An excellent communicator who is eager to develop their skills;
- Proven knowledge of social media, Excel, Word, Mailchimp;
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Adwords and Graphic design is a bonus

You will be given the tools to grow your skills in writing press releases, delivering successful marketing campaigns, website management, identifying sponsorship opportunities and internal reporting.
