**Contract**: Permanent part-time or full-time (32 hours - 40 hours a week)

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
This role supports an award winning clinical team in the field of influenza research. Your role will proactively provide essential administrative and technical support for the smooth, efficient and flexible operation of the WellKiwis Research Programme. This can include administrative support services, database administration, data entry and managing study participant enquires and booking of their bloods etc. This role requires flexibility in response to workloads and changing priorities of the study. Role accountabilities will evolve with the study and there may be additional duties relevant to this position that will be required to be performed from time to time.

WellKiwis has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2018. The clinical team can add receiving a prestigious Excellence in Innovation, Improvement and Future Thinking Award to the list of successes. The team delivers influenza research in a participant-centered model. The team currently consists of nurses, phlebotomists, and Technical Officers, and delivers high-quality and positive interactions in the community. The work is diverse, we are located in Upper Hutt and work Monday to Friday.

**We are looking for the following skills and experience**:

- Effective self-management - ability to work autonomously and take direction
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work with infants and children
- Competent with use of technology and sound computer skills
- Comfortable working in unusual or complex environments
- Flexible and solution focused approach to achieving research goals when faced with challenging circumstances and environments
- Enjoys interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Experience in research participation is an advantage
- Value attention to detail and have computer skills
- Enjoys being part of a successful team.
