Wellington City, New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

Tēnā koutou,
We're excited to extend an invitation from the Minister for Internal Affairs, Hon Brooke van Velden, for nominations for one community representative role on Te Puna Tahua Lottery Grants Board (the Board) to join us in supporting positive outcomes for our communities, hapū and iwi.
The Board distributes profits the New Zealand Lotteries Commission derives from Instant Kiwi, Keno and Lotto. It determines what proportion of the profits from these games are allocated to the various Lottery Distribution Committees, sets policies for grants, and provides direction on how funding decisions should be made.
The role
- strategic thinking and intellectual curiosity
- community and voluntary sector experience
- financial literacy and business acumen
- strong relationship management skills
- an understanding of funding systems and project work.

As a community representative Board member, you will attend typically four meetings per financial year, depending on the committee you are appointed to. For this, you will receive $389 for each full day meeting, with reasonable reimbursement for preparation activities and additional expenses.
How to apply
We look forward to welcoming dedicated individuals like you to our committee.
