**About the Role | He korero whakamarama mo tenei turanga**

The Team Leader provides front line operational coordination across Community Living designated sites. Includes staff leadership and ensuring the needs of residents and their family/whanau are met with care that is focused on identified needs and person centred planning. This is a full time permanent role based in Rotorua
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:_
- Rostering
- Stock management.
- Twice yearly completion of resident Person Centred Plans
- Overview of Medication Management - training support, record oversight, error reporting
- Resident GP, Hospital and other health related visits
- Support Worker
- interviewing and selection
- induction and orientation
- annual appraisals
- performance management
- Oversight of food management
- Oversight of site resource usage
- Safe environment oversight - daily duties, health & safety
- Oversight of operational and clinical functioning of all houses under their management.
- Oversee the arrival and settling in of new residents including orientation, staffing recruitment liaison, system setup and GP/Pharmacy liaison

**What you will bring | Nga tohungatanga mo tenei turanga**
- Care giving qualification to NZQA Level 4 or equivalent
- Proven staff leadership and management skills
- Experience and advanced knowledge from the rehabilitation, disability or aged care sector
- Clinical skills in PEG feeding, medication management, safe handling, challenging behaviours and other areas relevant to intellectual and physical disability - site(s) dependant
- A caring and compassionate approach to all cares with a passion for supporting and enabling people living with disability to live a full and meaningful life with choice.
- Proven communication skills and ability to develop professional relationships, meeting and exceeding all stakeholder expectations
- Ability to provide effective and supportive supervision and teaching to Support Workers
- A full Clean NZ Driver Licence and confidence with manual disability vehicles
- A commitment to quality services and a desire to be part of an organisation that is an industry leader

If you have well developed communication skills, enjoy goal planning/planning activities and are passionate about supporting clients with a disability get out and live their best lives, then we would love to hear from you. Experience in a similar role would be ideal but is not essential.
