**An exciting opportunity exists at our Christchurch Branch to join the Butchery team as a Poultry (Meat) Packer.**

In this role you will ensure that the packing and presentation of all meat is undertaken as per the business guidelines/expectations.
- **Location: Cumnor terrace, Woolston, Christchurch**:

- **Role: Permanent, part time**:

- **Potential for additional day shifts**:

- **Days of work: Monday to Wednesday**:

- **Hours of work: 12.30 noon to 9.00 pm**

**Job responsibilities**:

- Basic knife hand work, e.g., trimming, cutting, slicing etc.
- Wrapping meat products
- Packing and labelling meat products
- Operate vac pack, other equipment and machinery
- Doing varying tasks including: cleaning to a high standard, some meat preparation if required (full training provided) and completing Food Safety records General labouring
- Ensuring quality control standards are met and maintained
- Following all Food Safety and Health and Safety processes to a high standard
- Basic knife skills and experience with meat processing and packing
- Good communication skills
- An ability to follow instructions and to work under pressure
- Be flexible in the role and take on additional tasks as required
- Ability to complete paperwork required for Food Safety standards
- Good level of physical fitness
- Ability to do heavy lifting
- Comfortable to work in a cold environment
- Reliable transport to work and willingness to learn

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
