**Service Food's Christchurch Butchery Team is seeking committed and enthusiastic Meat Processing Assistants to join their afternoon shift.**

As a Poultry Process worker, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. You will work closely with our skilled butchers and support our commitment to providing the finest meat products to our customers.

- **Part-time, permanent**
- Immediate start
- Location: Woolston, Christchurch
- Days of work**:3 Days a week,** **Monday to Wednesday**
- Shift timings**:12.00 pm to 08.30 pm (approx.)**

**The job**:
Your primary responsibilities will include accurately packaging and preparing poultry products to ensure they meet our stringent quality standards.

- Poultry processing, Packing and labelling meat products with precision and care.
- Ensuring that all products are packaged according to quality and safety standards.
- Operate the vac pack, other equipment and machinery to wrap meat
- Organising and preparing orders for timely delivery to customers.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Preparation of meat products as and when required (full training provided)
- Following all Food Safety and Health and Safety processes to a high standard
- Assist with general butchery and other operational duties

**The person**:
The skills and attributes needed:

- Previous experience working in a processing/Warehouse environment
- An ability to follow instructions and to work under pressure
- Good level of physical fitness and be able to lift up to 20 kgs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong work ethic and a focus on safety and cleanliness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be Comfortable working in a cold environment
- Reliable transport to work and willingness to learn
- Be flexible in the role and take on additional tasks as required
