**_ National role supporting the financial and administrative functions of the wider Sime Darby Motor Group_**_ with exposure to retail operations_**

Reporting to the Senior Business Partner Retail the successful person will have the opportunity to provide financial analysis and commercial advice to the head office support functions of Sime Darby NZ and also have responsibility for assisting retail businesses within the retail group. This role gives exposure to the executive management of the group and has the added bonus of given hands-on experience with the retail operation also. We have a large finance function supporting the Sime Darby Motor Group which provides multiple pathways for development and career advancement.

Using your extensive experience within data analytics and report development, you will identify trends, gather insights, and provide accurate and timely financial and commercial insights.

You will be involved in strategic business planning, and as such will need to be a strong communicator who can build relationships with ease and convey information simply and succinctly to people at all levels within the business, as well as our external stakeholders.

There will also be a focus on compliance and processes to manage any business risk. This includes external and internal auditors as well as internal reporting and adherence to policy. We welcome your ideas for process improvements for internal controls. Quite simply by partnering with the business you will gain a deep understanding of us, our market, and our key drivers, and your insights will have an impact on our business processes and results.

**What you'll need to bring**
- A minimum of five years' experience in Accounting with preference given to those that have worked in a commercial environment
- Solid knowledge and experience with ERP systems
- A relevant degree qualification and membership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) (fully qualified)
- The ability to demonstrate strong technical skills in accounting, commercial, legislative, management reporting and technology
- While industry experience is not essential, some exposure to the automotive sector would be advantageous
