About the Branch The Finance Business Partnering branch, which sits within F+P, works in partnership with business groups, supporting them to deliver their services effectively and efficiently, allowing the Ministry to achieve its outcomes. The Finance Business Partnering branch is the conduit between F+P and the business groups.

**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**: The Finance Business Partner DDI role reports to the Manager Finance Business Partnering DDI within the Finance Business Partnering branch of F+P. In this role, you would partner with Digital, Data and Insights (DDI) portfolio GMs and the Manager Finance Business Partnering DDI to set the direction and drive the implementation of DDI’s strategy. While doing so, you will ensure alignment with the overall Ministry’s strategic plan and stated outcomes.

You will work with the Manager Finance Business Partnering DDI to lead the financial management and support the non-financial management processes. You will have a growth mindset and will use your prior experience and new learnings to collaborate with your stakeholders and provide them with insightful financial advice to influence strategic and operational decisions.

You would effectively influence senior stakeholders and provide assurance to the Senior Leadership Team by ensuring financial management processes, procedures and reporting comply with legislative requirements and best practice.

We are looking for a self-driven adaptable CA (or equivalent) who loves learning and who has:

- Supported a complex and diverse organisation as trusted strategic financial adviser
- Worked with senior leaders to drive outcomes and managed diverse stakeholder interests
- Led conversations and conveyed the narrative behind the numbers in easily understandable manner to non-accountants
- Ability to take initiative and has collaborated with the diverse leaders and peers to achieve the best results Prior knowledge of government funding mechanisms and planning cycles is a nice to have.
