**The Company**
Our client, a well-known quality meat processor and exporter based in the Auckland region, is looking for a Engineering Manager/ Plant Engineer to look after one of their processing sites.
**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Plant Manager you will support our client’s state-of-the-art, automated manufacturing plant. In this sole charge position, you will be responsible for carrying out plant and machinery maintenance and resolving breakdowns as wells as managing engineering contractors and looking after site services. On top of that, you will also lead continuous improvement and engineering projects.
**Working Hours**
The plant is running 5am to 2pm and our client offers flexible Monday to Friday daytime working hours with occasional weekend work.
**Requirements**:
Ideally our clients are looking for someone with:
- Trade qualification (NZQA Level 4 or equivalent)
- At least 3 years experience in a plant engineering role preferably within the food industry
- Full Electrical License or EST preferred but not essential
- Strong fault finding/problem solving experience
- Sound pneumatics and PLC/ HMI experience
- Experienced managing contractors and issuing Permits to Work
- High-level computer skills
- Developed communication skills, someone who can communicate with team members and stakeholders alike
