Wellington City, New Zealand Engineering New Zealand Full time

**About us | Mō mātou**

Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau is the professional home for engineers in New Zealand. As a membership organisation and the Registration Authority for Chartered Professional Engineers, we represent more than 22,000 members from graduates through to experts in their field. As well as supporting and promoting the work of our members, our staff are leading exciting programmes that are making a difference to Aotearoa:

- our Engineering Climate Action initiative is helping engineers lead the way in building a healthier and sustainable future
- the Wonder Project is getting kids excited about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) study and careers
- the Diversity Agenda is lifting the bar for diversity and inclusion in our profession

**About the role | Kōrero mō te tūranga**
Working closely with our Engagement Manager you will take the lead engaging with our volunteer branch, student, and young engineer committees around the country. You’ll support them so they can deliver a range of meaningful events to their local members. There’s an opportunity to travel and events will often see you working outside normal business hours, but we offer flexible working to accommodate this. A big piece of work will be to continue to develop a student pathway.

**Desired skills and experience | Ngā tino pūkenga/whēako**
While relationship building is important so too is the ability to manage and innovate the way in which we use social channels to engage with our members. While not essential it would be great if you had experience in social media, content creation, eDM’s, campaign management, and such like. If no experience, then an interest in this space is essential.

You will bring:

- A terrific work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the business
- Great organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

It's an exciting time at Te Ao Rangahau. We’re on a journey to embed Te Ao Māori and mātauranga in our work and to support the engineering profession to do the same. We’d love it if you’re ahead of the pack on this journey or will enthusiastically join us on our way.

Our office is bright and modern, we offer a social, supportive, and aspirational work culture, and we fully support flexible working arrangements.

We know we do better when we have a diverse mix of people on our team. So, if there’s anything we can do to help you participate fully in the recruitment process, please let us know.
