**Retail Store Assistant Manager**

As a retail store assistant manager you will need to meet sales targets and maintain company standards by managing the store during busy hours.

To be successful as a retail store assistant manager at our dairy shop, you must have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as proven experience in a store. A good retail store assistant manager can multitask and remain calm in stressful situations.

**Job tasks and responsibilities will include but not limited to**:

- Answering phone calls and taking orders
- Cash handling and operating the cash register
- Monitoring and controlling customer orders and ensuring that they are dispatched and received on time.
- Delegation of duties and responsibilities to staff members
- Ensuring that staff conduct themselves according to the company standards and policy
- Avoid excess ordering of stock and ensuring mínimal wastage
- Ensure that health and safety protocols are adhered to
- Keep a meticulous record of income and expenses
- Maintaining the highest standards of service for the store
- Always maintaining a clean and hygiene work environment at all times
- Communicate with customers to receive feedback and manage complaints.
- Implementation of store initiatives.
- Creating staff rosters and making sure that the store has the required number of staff for smooth and efficient running of the store at all times
- Perform administrative duties as required by the store manager
- Execute marketing and promotional activities as required by the manager
- Open and close the business on time

- Be well presented
- Sincere and punctual
- Have leadership skills to take responsibility, develop and manage the store
- Ability to Prioritise workloads and multitask
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be flexible to work different shifts

**Requirements and skills**
- At least two year of relevant experience or suitable qualification
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Numeracy and Literacy in English Language
- Bookkeeping knowledge and skill
- Ability to manage and supervise a team
- Ability to professionally address customer complaints
- May need to pass a drug test and have a clean criminal record
