**Mo te tunga**| About the**role**
You will be responsible for providing timely, high-quality HR advice and support to people leaders in alignment with organisational policies, employment legislation, and HR best practices.
With a focus on building management capability by delivering practical tools, frameworks, and guidance to support effective and consistent people leadership across the organisation. By developing a strong understanding of the business, the Advisor ensures HR services are integrated, relevant, and continuously improved.
You will be delivering core HR support reliably is essential to the credibility of the role, forming the foundation for broader contributions. This includes providing day-to-day HR advisory and administrative support while identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
Working in collaboration with colleagues across the People and High-Performance group and escalates complex issues to the Senior People Services Advisor or HR Services Manager when needed.

With your strong interpersonal skills, you will foster positive relationships across the organization, ensuring that HR processes and policies are not only adhered to but also embraced as tools for empowerment and growth.
Key requirements of the role include:
- Strong attention to detail and adept at managing multiple pieces of work and prioritizing the demands of a diverse range of stakeholders
- Excellent customer focus - you'll delight in anticipating and meeting customer needs and be a superb relationship manager.
- Strong relevant experience in HR administration and generalist disciplines
- Knowledge of current NZ employment law and HR practices and can relate this to an organisational context.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga M ori, and Pacific peoples' culture
