Key senior level role within a high performing team - Join a collaborative and supportive team environment - Great benefits and wellness package The Financial Stability Group leads Te Pūtea Matua's work on the stability of the financial system as a whole, including our assessment in the Financial Stability Report and use of macro-prudential tools. Within the group, the Financial Policy team is one of four teams that make up the Prudential Policy Department. It analyses key and often novel prudential policy issues and looks after bank and NBDT capital adequacy requirements, macroprudential frameworks, insurance solvency standards and the Insurance Prudential Supervision Act (2010). The team leads on core and conceptually interesting policy topics that require close collaboration with other parts of the Reserve Bank, Government agencies, industry, academia, other domestic stakeholders and international counterparts. Te tūranga - The roles This is a key position within the Financial Policy team; you will be required to provide technical and thought leadership, as well as offer guidance, mentorship and support to fellow team members, in respect of their work. As the Adviser, you will work on a range of financial policy issues, predominantly in the insurance space on insurer solvency requirements and IPSA review-related policy work. There is scope to contribute to policy work in other areas, such as banking or climate change. You may also be required to support the Supervision Department or collaborate with actuaries in other teams. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team who deliver solid outcomes for their stakeholders. Ō pūkenga - About you We are looking for motivated people with string technical experience and proven influencing and relationship management skills. You will need to demonstrate strong analytical and communication abilities and have a positive, enthusiastic "can-do" attitude and be a team player. You'll bring: Strong academic or professional qualifications in actuarial science, accounting or in related fields of mathematics, statistics or financial theory. * - A proven track record in building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. - Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to tailor and deliver information for different audiences and be confident to present your work to stakeholders. - A collaborative way of working, along with experience guiding, mentoring and coaching other colleagues with varying levels of professional experience.
