**Mō tenei tūrana mahi | About this role**
The team delivers a comprehensive range of core actuarial services to ACC and external stakeholders. It also does a variety of other work including assessments of the effectiveness of injury prevention programmes, input to policy and other scheme design questions, input to wider ACC strategy, and involvement in project work.
As a Senior Actuary, you’ll be accountable for helping the team deliver great insight and advice to enable sound management of the Scheme. This will include project/programme management and could include some people management accountabilities, depending on your interests and capabilities.
You’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders within, and sometimes outside, the organisation. We encourage situational leadership, including a high degree of personal accountability for quality and timeliness of work, and coaching or mentoring others in the team.

You’ll be an enthusiastic individual who is committed to delivering quality services, both from a technical and a customer perspective. You will:
- Be a qualified Actuary with 7+ years’ experience working in an actuarial role
- Have exceptional analytical skills including the ability to work with advanced mathematical and statistical models and be easily able to navigate computer programming languages like SAS
- Have excellent relationship management skills and the ability to build rapport with your key stakeholders
- Be an excellent communicator, focused on providing actionable advice for your stakeholders
- Be continually looking for ways to innovate and improve processes and techniques to achieve quality results
- Enjoy coaching and guiding fellow team members to grow their technical and communication skills and achieve great outcomes
- Thrive on variety and challenge and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
