**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced finance leader to bring their insights and experience to lead our accounts receivable function. You will be leading a team of four direct reports and have the opportunity to drive and embed process and system improvements.

As part of the wider Finance team, you'll be responsible for keeping the business compliant with relevant legislation and regulators to drive best practice. You'll also be responsible for maintaining oversight of Council's debt and be a trusted expert on all matters relating to accounts and debt management.

**About You**

You'll bring experience with a sound understanding of all the complexities involved in end-to-end billing and credit control functions. Your experience as a leader will help shape the future of your team's work through process and system improvements.

You'll enjoy building positive relationships across the business and have strong analytical skills that will see you succeed at developing solutions to ensure great customer service.

**About You**

The successful applicant will have:

- Proven experience in a leadership position in a Finance team
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Expertise in reporting and data analysis
- Resilient nature and ability to manage and drive change
- Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship building skills.

The following is advantageous though not essential:

- Experience using the Tech One financial system
- Awareness/understanding of Accounts Receivable function
- Local Government experience
