Are you a passionate leader who is looking for an opportunity to contribute to addressing health inequities? This role will see you providing leadership and management for the Analytical & Policy team. The purpose of the role is to work in collaboration with other team leaders to provide public health leadership across the organisation. This is a busy fast paced environment, with new challenges and opportunities daily. The recent health reforms present a significant change factor, the successful applicant will need to be agile and able to adapt to an ever changing environment. This is an exciting opportunity for you to bring an innovative approach to make a difference and contribute to better health outcomes across our region.
Mō tō mātou rōpū ' About our team
The Analytical and Policy team is a dynamic team consisting of Senior Public Health Analysts, Business Analysts, System Analysts, Learning and Capability Development Lead, and Health in All Polices. The team is also supporting the development that is underway of Māori and Pasifika equity lead roles. The team's role is to support service delivery teams across all three regions, and other stakeholders through the provision of quality policy, analytical support and strategic advice.
Moū ' About you
With extensive experience of health in practice, you will demonstrate the ability to provide high level strategic thinking and advice in health initiatives and policy development. This will include service planning, project development and delivery, quality improvement evaluation and relationship development. You will have an understanding of the Public Health system and preferably experience in working in public health, with a relevant tertiary qualification (we recognise transferable qualifications and experience). With proven ability to inspire and motivate your team you will bring experience in leading from a strengths based approach. You will bring exceptional communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective inter-sectoral, strategic and community relationships.
