**Electrical Design Engineer (Mangere, Auckland)**:
**Electrical Design Engineer - Auckland**

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, based in Mangere, Auckland.

**KEY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE**
- Design of LV (Low Voltage) control panels in compliance with Scott’s and various international stadards in conjunction with internal stakeholders to ensure safe and appropriate electrical design methods are used.
- Develop these schematics and associated drawings by using software tools such as EPlan and AutoCad.
- Creation of Electrical Bills of Materials (EBOM) from the above schematics etc.
- To assist the Electrical Workshop with the manufacture of electrical panels and machine wiring of PLC I/O, motors and other switch gear.
- To assist with commissioning/debugging developed code (PLC/HMI), communication networks, drive systems (servo/VSD/soft starters) and other devices.
- To specify materials and components constituting part of the equipment designed, always endeavouring to minimise their cost by every means possible.
- To liaise with the workshop and sub-contractors during the construction of any equipment designed to ensure smooth and trouble-free manufacture.

**TO BE A GREAT MATCH FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED**
- A degree or diploma in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated results in electrical engineering roles in manufacturing environments.
- Strong computer literacy particularly in ePlan (desirable but not required), software, PLC/HMI programming (Rockwell Allen Bradley).
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability in following client specifications and proven internal design practices.
- Strong analytical skills to determine alternative pathways for mitigating risk, reducing cost or creating float in project schedules.
- A high level of computer literacy particularly in electrical design packages.
- To be customer and results focused, have integrity, and be a proven team-player.
- To have the legal right to live and work permanently in New Zealand.
