We are looking for a Design Manager with some awesome design management experience to work with our Property Team to deliver on the strategic property plan for Foodstuffs North Island.

**About the role**

As Design Manager you’ll manage all property and retail design activities across all phases of the design process, from feasibility through provisioning design direction, design development through to project completion.

With a focus on customer experience, you’ll:

- Lead the team of 8 technical experts spanning design, equipment and technical, supporting and developing best practice project design to enhance our customers experience at a store level.
- Manage the design development and documentation process for FSNI
- Develop and maintain design, format and technical standards for projects including contractual standards and documentation
- Oversee the engineering, building services and energy use knowing when to call in external resource

**About you**

With experience in design management, ideally in a retail environment, you’ll be confident managing a large programme of work through all the design phases to completion. Collaborative and with outstanding communication skills, you’ll be a natural leader who is able to take people on a journey, influence key stakeholders and drive results. Technically savvy, you’ll be proficient in MS project, AutoCad and all MS Office software. You will have awareness of engineering, building services and energy use to ensure all components of the projects are delivered, exceeding customer expectations.
