**Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**
As our Contract Manager for our Construction team, you will be responsible for forward planning, programming, optimising resource, and delivering a high-quality standard of work to the Central Otago region. Your day to day will include but not be limited to:

- Producing project methodology, budgets, and programmes
- Lead tenders submissions and quotations
- Championing excellence, health, and safety
- Directing and leading site engineers, foreman and their teams as well as sub-contractors
- Developing strong business relationships and commercial outcomes exceeding target results

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
Ideally you will hold a BE or NZCE qualification, but not essential solid experience is also considered. A minimum of 3+ years experience in Civil Contract/ Project Management, and proven management experience with responsibility and accountability for staff, plant and return on investment. In addition to this we would expect that you bring with you the following skills & experience:

- High level written and verbal communication skills as you will be liaising closely with internal staff, as well as sub-contractors and clients
- The ability to think outside the box and innovate, enabling improvement to co create value and benefit all stakeholders
- Experience in managing long-term and short-term contracts, working within and meeting deadlines and budgets
- Ability to interrogate SOR / Contract documents and utilize to the benefit of the contracts
- Computer literacy and previous use of estimating and data collection software
- Understanding of financial and accounting processes, to include preparation of progress and claim reports and producing and interpreting monthly financial reports to P&L level
- Previous experience in compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies
- Ability to drive operational site work to ensure quality is achieved, work completed to schedule and rework is minimized
