In this key leadership role, and as part of our Transport team, you’ll work alongside the Regional Manager in setting and executing our Central Otago wide Construction strategy.

The primary focus of this role is the overall operational delivery of construction works within the Central Otago area to ensure that work is completed to the satisfaction of customers and all targets (productivity/budget, quality and safety) are met.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring our team has an unwavering focus on zero harm
- Enhancing our strong relationships with our clients and delivering as promised, every time.
- Growing the team, and the capability of the team by providing clear and positive leadership
- Ensuring that we deliver projects as expected
- Work with the Regional Manager to retain and enhance current business and develop capability to deliver on new business opportunities
- Lead and provide support across the construction team and associated operational teams to deliver successful outcomes

In order to excel in this Management position, you will also bring to the table:

- Proven Project Management experience
- At least 10 years’ experience in the Civil Engineering sector, five of these in a Management role
- Ability to read, understand and ensure contract specifications and contract requirements are fully implemented
- Demonstrable experience of managing multiple suppliers and sub-contractors
- Demonstrable experience in preparing and submitting Monthly Claims and Financial Reporting
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise duties
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety initiatives
