Our Wellington office is currently seeking an experienced Transportation and Traffic Safety Engineer to become an integral member of our Central Region Transport Team. We have strong and exciting work demands building on GHD's key roles in ‘Let’s Get Wellington Moving’ and the PNCC Design panel. A fantastic opportunity for you to work on a range of projects, with a supportive team and alongside some great clients. **Key responsibilities will include**:

- Maintain good business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard
- Help develop new and repeat business within the Central Region and wider NZ as required through the delivery of high quality projects and assistance with bid preparation
- Project management and implementation of small to medium projects involving transportation investigation and reporting, economic evaluation, preparation of estimates, design, contract documentation and contract surveillance
- Provide technical input and leadership to projects - Including review QA/QC of project deliverables as Job Manager as applicable

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Tertiary qualified with minimum 10 years’ experience in transportation related projects
- Strong knowledge of public and private sector
- Understanding of other Civil Engineering sectors, particularly around drainage, planning and environment
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to nurture and develop teamwork within the group
