**About the role**
Reporting to the CEO you will also keep the Board appraised of all Safety, Quality and Risk matters as a valued member of the Senior Management Team - providing regular updates to members on all matters pertaining to the Safety, Quality, and Risk Management System.
The Group Manager Safety, Quality and Risk (GMSQR) is primarily responsible for the overall implementation, integration and coordination of Evolution owned Services / Hospitals’ quality, safety and risk management programmes to meet New Zealand regulatory compliance, relevant Health Sector Standards and the ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Standards. Some interaction is also required with Australian based entities.
This position works collaboratively with Evolution Services’ Managers and through technical control of their respective Quality Team (which includes quality coordinator, infection prevention, health and safety and privacy officer (as applicable) to ensure quality and risk-based thinking is embedded into the culture of Evolution and is reflective of Evolution’s Vision and Values.
**Skills and experience**
This is a Senior position and as such, we anticipate you will have significant experience in Risk Management, with an understanding of the Health Sector Standards and ISO frameworks, Health and Safety legislation, Privacy and Health Information legislation and excellent knowledge of the principles and philosophy of continuous quality improvement
- Relevant Post Graduate qualification
- Previous experience with reporting at Board level - highly desired
- Experience in complex environments - preference is Healthcare industry
- Significant leadership experience, including strategic implementation
- Experienced in auditing - proactive manner
- Great problem solving and analytical skillset - with attention to detail
- Highly skilled in time management - outcome focussed with high energy
- Proven ability in working autonomously, prioritising competing work demands
- Ability to set realistic goals and the achievement of such
- Experience with facilitating change
- Keen to roll up your sleeves, support the business units and enable their success
