**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**
Auckland Council’s Policy, Planning and Governance division has an opportunity for a Programme Coordinator to join our Infrastructure Funding & Development Strategy team on a Fixed Term Full Time basis (ending February 2025).

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Fixed-Term Coordinator. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Infrastructure Funding & Development Strategy team by driving process improvements, managing procurement outcomes, and fostering a collaborative environment. Day-to-day you could expect to work on:

- Contributing to the establishment of the appropriate project team structures and work practices
- Create & support standardized templates and codes, processes for programme workshops, plans work assignments
- Documentation of process mapping
- General system, procurement and office support
- Assistance with new personnel team onboarding
- Auditing process compliance and continuous improvement

**He kōrero mōu: About you**
This role requires experience 3-5 years’ experience in similar coordination roles, ideally from within large and complex organisations.

We will be looking for specific experience with:

- Procurement process management
- Understanding and implementing business processes
- Knowledge of local government environment, council practices and constraints is desirable.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities\
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, procurement systems).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**You will be able to**:

- Effectively exchange accurate, appropriate and relevant information with stakeholders
- Manage multiple tasks at one time and prioritise your time to concentrate on activities that add the greatest value
- Build strong working relationships with all parties
- Deal effectively with difficult people, situations and behaviours to resolve conflict situations.
