Are you ready to lead transformative change in a dynamic and global environment? We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Head of Change & Optimisation to drive impactful programmes of work that shape the future of our organisation. This role is not just about managing change—it's about leading with purpose, ensuring our people and processes are aligned for long-term success.As the Head of Change & Optimisation at Fonterra, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing strategic change within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer. Your leadership will be crucial in managing the people aspects of organisational redesign and transformation, ensuring we achieve our business objectives while managing legal, reputational, and relationship risks. You'll be a key player in delivering sustainable benefits, guiding stakeholders through change with confidence, care, and pragmatism.You will play a critical role in driving change for our people and our Co-operative. The role is highly collaborative operating across our NZ footprint and the organisation to accelerate and deliver on our business objectives and long-term strategy.
- **Key responsibilities include**:

- Strategic Workforce Planning: experience in aligning workforce planning with organisational goals
- Strategic Execution & leadership: Drive and implement programs aligned with our Long-Term Ambitions (LTA) to ensure sustainable business growth. Execute comprehensive tactical change initiatives with a focus on care, practicality, and adherence to our company’s values and policies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & co-design: Provide informal coaching and support to enhance the skills and confidence of our leaders and teams during periods of change and in the planning stages. Risk Management: Ensure all practices comply with our risk appetite, maintaining a balance between strategic goals and the well-being of our people.

You are a visionary leader with a strategic mindset and a strong track record in driving business transformation and organisational change, with particular focus on behavioural and people change. With your deep commercial acumen and expertise in employment relations, you excel at navigating complex environments and influencing at all levels of the organisation.You are a strategic partner who balances big-picture thinking with the ability to execute with precision. Your communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to lead with empathy and pragmatism, while your collaborative approach ensures that you bring people along on the journey. Your understanding and ability to communicate context within significant change programs will be essential to your success, and will enable you to contribute to, and challenge strategic solutions.
- **To make an impact in this role you will have**:

- Proven HR Leadership experience including navigating union or industrial relations.
- Experience in business transformation and organisational change.
- Working across multifaceted programmes and projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of high performing teams and operational excellence/continuous improvement.
- Experience in translating strategy into actionable plans that support business performance and growth.
- Operational agility to adapt quickly to dynamic circumstances.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong grasp of Employment Relations and union dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Ability to deliver end to end large-scale change with care and level of pragmatism.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Experience in digital change.
