National Supply Planning Manager

The Opportunity
The National Supply Planning Manager is responsible for the management of purchasing of finished goods, ingredients, commodities and packaging from external vendors located domestically and overseas: Specifically, coordinating supply and inventory across the business and driving continuous improvement and efficiencies in supply, service and working capital. The role reports to the Head of Planning and is responsible for leading and managing a high performing team of supply planners who purchase materials for use at GFNZ manufacturing sites and for external customer sales. They are responsible for effective and efficient running of the purchasing process including managing supplier review meetings, managing NPD and other change projects as well as attending key account forecast reviews, category performance reviews and supply meetings through the monthly SO&P cycle.
The National Supply Planning Manager will continue to develop and improve the required supply models and operating framework required to support our strategic project pipeline which is focused around leveraging the Wilmar network of manufacturing sites and supply points.
This role is part of the Plan Leadership Team tasked with the development and implementation of a planning strategy to build a ‘Gold Standard' planning function to drive significant improvement across the S&OP process and delivery of best-in-class customer service.

Deliverables
- Sustain and continuously improve robust supply planning processes to maintain alignment between demand & supply of finished goods that executes against one number agreed volume and financial forecast
- Run an efficient material planning function supported by system driven MRP planning processes
- Ensure effective inventory management and supply planning to reduce supply chain costs
- Deliver on key performance metrics, set & achieve targets for planning accuracy and customer supply fulfilment
- Manage and develop a high performing team through skills and capability development
- Leads Supply Planners responsible for purchasing raw materials & packaging and finished goods procured from external and internal suppliers based domestically and overseas
- Manages external supplier performance and chairs performance meetings and reviews for key ingredient, packaging and finished goods suppliers
- Create and execute the roadmap for system-driven inventory management and planning processes of raw and packaging materials utilizing SAP ECC MRP and SAP IBP

Experience & Qualifications
- 5-7+ years' experience in a planning role, with negotiation, purchasing or other supply chain experience
- End-to-end supply chain background
- Successful implementation a significant change management project
- Vendor management experience
- People leadership experience
- CPIM/NZPICS preferred
- Diploma/Degree in Business (Operations/Supply Chain) or similar
- Experience with SAP ECC and APO/IBP preferred
