**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Māori under te Tiriti o Waitangi | the Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Māori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Māori.

We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.

The Senior Procurement Advisor is a member of the Commissioning Contract Liaison and Procurement team in the Te Wai Pounamu region. The role will support complex procurement of national and regionally led services and will work with other commissioning teams to provide oversight of contract administration and procurement processes at a national, regional and local level.

**This role is based in the Te Waipounamu Region made up of Nelson Marlborough, Canterbury, South Canterbury, West Coast and Southern. You will need to be based in the region. Your location can be discussed at interview stage.**

- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Significant experience in procurement roles
- Previous experience managing complex procurement processes of funded NGO services in health or equivalent social sector commissioning.
- Experience in developing, maintaining and influencing relationships internally and externally, across various groups, including at a senior level.
- Experience coaching colleagues and providers or procurement approaches and processes.
