Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

The Works Supervisor will provide direction and guidance to both Kāinga Ora personnel and subcontractors and ensure work is being performed as specified in work order and in accordance with contractual and business key performance indicators.

We are seeking someone with either social housing, facility maintenance or other related building and or trade-related experience. Do you have preferred knowledge in the following categories: Building, Glazing, Plumbing, Painting, Roofing, Surveying and Electrical etc. We want people with practical experience with a can-do attitude, wanting to help other people

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

Extensive experience in the domestic building industry (QSC or Contractors licence advantageous)
Knowledge of work planning and scheduling procedures.
Experience in the supervision and monitoring of subcontractors.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity and understanding of domestic building statutory obligations, codes of practice and Building code of New Zealand
Full understanding of OH&S regulations.
Financial skills appropriate to manage high volume maintenance contracts.
Proven ability to prepare reports and gather / maintain data.
Experience with quality systems.
