**Seeking a Practice Supervisor Social Worker for our Adult Community Mental Health Centres**:

- **Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday**:

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The Social Work Practice Supervisor is a full-time permanent position that provides Social Work expertise in both direct mental health care delivery and support to other staff. The practise supervisor has 2 functions in this role, with the with Practice Supervisor component (0.3 FTE) and a clinical component (0.7 FTE) making up the rest of the role.

The social work practice supervisor in Adult Community Mental Health, demonstrates proven leadership and clinical competence. They work collaboratively with the Professional Leader for social work, the service clinical directors and clinical team leaders of the adult community mental health services. They provide clinical expertise and support to the social workers within the services and contribute to the leadership forums within adult community mental health. Within the adult community mental health services there are two social work practice supervisors, we are recruiting for one of these positions.

The two practice supervisor roles cover the four Community Mental Health Centres (CMHC) at Te Toka Tumai (Cornwall House, Manaaki House, Taylor Centre, Kainga Tiaki Centre); and Mental health services for older people. This role will cover 2 of these services, the allocation of the services will be determined by the service clinical director at the time of appointment.

Internal applicants who already work within one of the services listed above will retain their current clinical role at 0.7 FTE. The clinical component for a successful applicant external to Te Toka Tumai will be within one of our 4 CMHC as determined by the Service Clinical Director, however applicants are welcome to indicate preference in their cover letter.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
- You will be an experienced Social Worker with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
- You will also have previous proven experience supervising, mentoring, and coaching.
- NZ Social Worker Registration and APC required.
