**Job Title**: Senior Programme Coordinator

**Location**: Wellington

**Employment Status**: Fixed Term (12 months)

**About Us**: As a government entity, Sport New Zealand Ihi Aotearoa is proud to be a kaitiaki (guardian) of our country's play, active recreation and sporting system, from grassroots to elite sport. We do this through partnerships with national sport and recreation organisations, regional sports trusts, central government bodies, councils and other key stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Jira.
- Monitor programme and project budgets, forecasts, and actuals
- Coordinate resource allocation and availability across project teams
- Maintain and track programme and project risks and issues
- Prepare and distribute regular programme and project status reports and dashboards
- Support the planning and delivery of programme-related communications
- Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership
- Maintain programme documentation, including approaches, plans, and logs
- Ensure adherence to programme management standards and frameworks

**Skills and Experience**:

- Proficiency in Jira, Microsoft office and Microsoft project management tools (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint, Power BI)
- Strong understanding of programme and project financials, including budgeting and cost tracking
- Experience in resource planning and coordination
- Knowledge of risk and issue management frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with Agile or hybrid programme and project methodologies
- Familiarity with project portfolio management (PPM) tools
- Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2)
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Knowledge of Sport NZ's role and responsibilities as a Crown Agency and an awareness of the wider social and political context in which Sport NZ operates
