Puketotara Farm is operates an intensive store/finishing system, farming beef bulls and steers. Our farm is 950 effective hectares, and this role will give you the opportunity to step into the role of Stock Manager while the incumbent is away for three months.

You will need a passion for farming, a high work ethic, and health & safety and animal management skills that are second to none. Due to our reporting requirements, you must be tech friendly to be happy in this role. If you are tech friendly, we will upskill you on the systems. In return you get the opportunity to step up into a Stock Manager role, experience an efficient beef system and/ or find out what Pāmu is like to work for.

We would love to hear from you if you have excellent communication skills, are punctual and have a positive, can-do attitude. Prior experience as a Stock Manager would be great but not essential. You will have an interest in technical and intensive farming practices with a focus on high production as well as strong pasture and animal husbandry skills. Along with good attention to detail, you will work with only the highest level of health and safety standards. Having a team of up to three working dogs is ideal.

Puketotara farm is located 15 min from Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, Northland.

Pāmu provides a safe workplace and the successful applicant will be required to pass a drug and alcohol test and undergo a criminal background check prior to being appointed.
