Kerikeri, New Zealand Mitre10 Full time

We have a couple of 32 hour per week permanent positions available. Availability on one weekend day is a must

***Paint/Light/Electrical Team**

We are looking for someone who shares our values of striving for excellence, working as one team, being honest and fair as well as someone who is customer-obsessed. You will have an eye for detail be a quick learner who is willing to pick up the process of accurate colour mixing.

**You'll need**:

- An attention to detail is paramount for this role - you cross the T’ and dot the I’s
- Enthusiasm and team spirit;
- A passion for customer service excellence;
- Good time management and a quick and alert mind, with the ability to adapt and be flexible
- The drive to learn and excellent communication skills
- Some experience with paint would be ideal but the ability to learn quickly would fit.

**The Successful applicant will be responsible for**:

- Growing sales by providing exceptional customer service
- Maintaining high merchandising standards & managing stock
- Working closely & assisting in other departments if required
- Paint tins can be heavy - we need someone physically fit and capable of lifting.
- Promoting health and safety, following safe work practices within your team at all times.

***Seasonal/Power Garden Team**

We are also looking for the right person to fit into our Seasonal Power Garden Team. Are you our unicorn who is equally passionate about Low n Slow BBQ and Waterblasters, can sell the vision of Summer drinks on the deck or cruising on your new Ride on Lawnmower?

Ideally, you’ll have some experience in garden hardware or retail but if you have years of DIY experience under your belt and a great attitude, that will be seen just as favourably. Either way, you will enjoy helping our customers get exactly what they need to get the Mahi done Our Seasonal department is a fast-paced, ever changing area and heavy lifting is part of the role so a reasonable standard of physical fitness is a must

The position is a permanent full time role.

**You’ll need**:
Enthusiasm and team spirit
- A passion for customer service excellence
- Good time management and a cool head when under pressure
- A quick and alert mind, with the ability to adapt and be flexible
- Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail
- A flair for display - telling a story with our product.
- The ability to be on your feet for several hours at a time and to be able to work on a roster including a weekend day
- The ability to relay technical information to a range of customers with varying degrees of knowledge

**The Successful applicant will be responsible for**:

- Growing sales by providing exceptional customer service
- Working closely & assisting in other departments if required
- Heavy lifting and physical movement are required
- Cleanliness of the department and effective presentation of stock.
- Promoting health and safety, following safe work practices within your team at all times.
