Mitre 10 Alexandra is a locally owned and operated company with a vision to provide outstanding customer service and great value products to our customers.

An opportunity has become available in our paint department. This is a permanent full-time role. A general knowledge of DIY and gardening would be advantageous.

Weekend work is required on a rostered basis.

We are looking for someone who shares our values of striving for excellence, working as one team, being honest and fair as well as someone who is customer obsessed. You will have an eye for detail be a quick learner who is willing to pick up the process of accurate colour mixing.

**What we need from you**:

- Experience and passion for front-line customer service
- An eye for detail and ability to follow processes with accuracy
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Be well organised and able to manage time effectively
- Be flexible and able to think on your feet
- Be able to meet customer demands in a polite and friendly manner
- A cool head during challenging situations
- Basic familiarity with computers and keyboard skills
- Be physically fit and able to lift heavy tins of paint.

**The Successful applicant will be responsible for**:

- Providing exceptional customer service
- Paint department, as well as tinting and mixing paint
- Maintaining merchandising standards and managing stock
- Working closely and assisting in other departments if required
- Heavy lifting and physical movement are required
- Promoting health and safety, following safe work practices within our team at all times.
