Administrative Support to Careers Advisor

Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approx. 1600 students and 140 teaching and support staff combined.
A fantastic opportunity is available to work in the Careers Centre providing administrative support to the Careers Advisor for 32.5 hours per week, during term time (40 weeks per annum).
Along with general office support, your main areas of focus will include, but are not limited to:
- Data capture, correspondence, minutes of meetings
- Student enquiries about careers information
- Updating information on the Long Bay College careers site
- Assisting the Careers Advisor and Gateway Co-ordinator to organise on-campus activities and trips/outings to careers events, transition programmes and other events which assist students to transition into employment or further training
This role requires a clear communicator who is organised, efficient and calm. You’ll enjoy working both independently and as part of a collaborative team with a common goal to help guide students towards their career journey when they move on from college.
Experience in the following systems an advantage: Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Microsoft Teams.
Remuneration as per the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, Grade 2, Step 4, plus a qualifications allowance if applicable. Permanent position, 32.5 hours per week for 40 weeks (term time only).
