What We Need
Corpay is currently seeking an experienced Credit Collections Specialist to join our team. Sitting within the Credit Control and Collections division of our Ellerslie office, you will play a pivotal role in liaising with our valued customers across Australasia, delivering excellent customer service, and finding the best solutions for them. This is an amazing opportunity to develop and advance your skills for a successful career in financial services This is a 4-month fixed term contract until the end of December 2025.

As a Credit Collections Specialist, you will be expected to work in a hybrid office environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
- Assigned workspace in Ellerslie office
- Company-issued equipment
- Formal, hands-on training
Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Credit Team Leader, you’ll be at the frontline making outbound calls to locate customers and investigate overdue accounts. With a flexible approach, you’ll negotiate repayment plans and solutions to suit our customers’ circumstances.
As a Credit Collections Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively reach out to customers with overdue accounts
- Negotiate, implement and monitor tailored payment solutions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and payment plans
- Provide regular reports on the status of outstanding accounts and collection efforts
- Maintain a professional and empathetic approach when dealing with customers
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the collections function
Qualifications & Skills
To be considered for this role, you must also have the following skills and experience:
- 3+ years Credit Control or Collections in a commercial environment
- Experience in a collection or contact centre environment, particularly supporting customers in financial difficulty
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and navigate challenging conversations
- A solutions-focused approach and the ability to make informed decisions to resolve a customer’s financial situation
- Intermediate Excel working knowledge
- Familiarity with both New Zealand and Australian customers and respective credit
