**About The Role**
Our client is looking for fun, efficient team members to join their already vibrant and welcoming team. You'll have the opportunity to work for a financial services group based in Auckland's Newmarket that provides award-winning savings and finance products to a diverse range of customers.

The Credit Consultant focuses on contacting customers with overdue accounts to arrange repayments to clear arrears, loading and monitoring arrangements within our client's Collections systems. You will liaise with customers, internal stakeholders and external introducers to solve customer needs.

The Credit Consultant conducts our clients' business ethically and with integrity, maintaining alignment with the Bank’s brand values and delivering the best possible customer outcomes

**Some Of Your Day-To-Day Responsibilities May Include**:

- Negotiate arrangements for repayment of arrears within company guidelines and policy
- Prepare submissions for restructuring of existing contracts where appropriate (e.g. Hardship)
- Ensure all compliance obligations are met (i.e. Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act, Privacy Act etc.)
- Provide ongoing contribution to the development of the department and any other duties as deemed necessary by the Team Leader
- Look to constantly enhance the processes to ensure that the best result is reached at a cost-effective and timely manner
- Achieve all compliance requirements
- Ensure the best interests of customers are foremost in all actions and activity
- Ensure all actions and activity is aligned with our client's brand values

**About You**:

- Some New Zealand-based customer service or credit control experience (preferably >1 year)
- Knowledge of CCCFA Legislations
- New Zealand-based customer services experience
- Preferably New Zealand-based financial institution experience
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Recent working knowledge of Credit, Privacy and Repossession beneficial
- First-rate professional verbal and written communication skills
