The Chief Ombudsman is independent and impartial, with the goal of fairness for all. **Mo to matou tira - About the team**: The Publications and Digital team is a newly established team dedicated to delivering high quality content and publication across various platforms including websites, intranet, reports and corporate documents, with a focus on enhancing user engagement and accessibility, as well as the Ombudsman's online presence, ensuring platforms and content are engaging, relevant and fit for purpose. **Mo te turanga - About the role**: The role of the Digital Advisor is to work with Senior Digital Advisor and Manager Publications and Digital to deliver and develop digital resources to support the Chief Ombudsman's strategic intentions. You will use your creativity and sharpened digital communications skills to prepare innovative content particularly for internal audiences through our intranet. You'll make sure the content meets the Chief Ombudsman's guidelines and standards for brand, style, accessibility and usability. You'll also make sure the content is optimised for external and internal search engines. This is a fixed term role until March 2026. **He korero mou - About you**: To be successful in this role you will have: - Relevant tertiary qualification and/or the equivalent work experience in a Communications environment. - Familiarity with CMS systems. A quick learner who can get up to speed fast. - Have sound knowledge and experience of Government Web Standards and how they translate into business practice. - Be a champion for best practice digital communications. Keep up-to-date with contemporary practice and new thinking. - Experience building targeted content for specific audiences to build internal engagement, particularly for children, young people, Maori, or Pasifika to build engagement and awareness. - Experience working with different business portfolios to translate technical/complex information into easy to understand (and findable) information. - Excellent interpersonal skills - written, listening and speaking. - Ability to actively participate and manage multiple projects. - Cultural awareness, including knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi and Te Reo Maori or willingness to learn. **Te painga o te mahi tahi me matou - Our benefits, what we offer**: Becoming part of an exceptional team in a dynamic organisation, where the work is challenging and rewarding.
