Kitchen Assistant/cook

**ROLE PURPOSE**:
The main purpose of the position is to prepare the Dr Julie’s Kitchen range of products ready for distribution. The priority focus is on ensuring there is adequate stock to distribute, and that all food manufactured is done to a high standard.

This will be 30-40 hours a week depending on availability. Part-time hours of 20-25 hours may be considered.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- **Complete food preparation for the Dr Julie’s Kitchen range of products by ensuring recipes are followed accurately and packaged accordingly.
- Properly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
- Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down the kitchen surfaces.
- Organising and correctly storing food supplies.
- Assist with the unloading of deliveries and their proper storage.
- Communicate any kitchen needs to Dr Julie or her delegate to ensure stock levels are up to date.
- Complete stocktake as and when required.
- Complete documentation for anything required as per the DKJ training manual.
- Follow all food health and safety requirements.
