Day Operations Supervisor

**Do you like variety, being involved in operations and people management? This role will get you out from behind a desk. To get a taste of operations and experience with managing a **team**.**

Your day as a Day Operations Supervisor will require a strong desire to maintain and improve the efficient operations of the depot. You will ensure all freight is scanned, and available to meet all cycle times, with outbound freight correctly sorted and packed appropriately. You will have excellent verbal and written communication to effectively lead a team of freight handlers.

You will also supervise all team members in the operations area, including:

- Staff Rostering and Timesheets
- Shift Reporting
- Maintaining Health and Safety Practices
- Training
- Providing resource
- Monitoring of staff performance and behaviour
- Assisting with loading/unloading of inbound trucks/vans and containers.
- Providing assurance that the depot is set up and standards of order and organisation are maintained.

**This role is Monday to Friday
- 9am to 6pm at our Lower Hutt Branch.**

**Being able to deliver is our culture and to fit in you'll need to demonstrate the following key attributes**:

- Leadership skills
- Strong work ethic
- Punctuality
- Knowledge of NZ regions and towns
- Physically fit - able to lift up to 25kgs.
- The ability to work well in a team environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
- Previous Forklift and Dangerous Goods experience would be an advantage
