As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be integral to our team, supported by a Transaction Services Manager, and working closely with your teammates in the Shared Services Team. Your primary mission will be to maintain the accuracy and timeliness of specific accounts payable transactions within Mitre 10 Cooperative. By taking charge of this vital role, you'll play a key part in securing the financial well-being and reputation of our cooperative.

**What You'll Do**:

- Invoice and Payment Processing: Your responsibility will include the accurate and efficient processing of supplier invoices and payments. You will ensure that all deadlines are met in line with payment terms to avoid late fees. Furthermore, you'll establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to guarantee invoice accuracy and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Expense Reimbursement: You'll oversee processing employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies. This includes the timely reimbursement of employee expenses and the proper documentation required.
- Account Reconciliation and Reporting: You will reconcile supplier statements and maintain precise records of payables. Your analytical skills will shine as you assist in generating periodic financial reports, identifying aging reports, and contributing to month-end close activities. Additionally, your expertise will be crucial during audits and financial reviews.
- Process, Compliance, and Documentation Improvement: We value continuous improvement, and you'll be tasked with identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with relevant policies, principles, and regulations while maintaining accurate supplier documentation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaboration is at the heart of your role. You will work closely with other departments such as procurement, finance business partners, and compliance to ensure seamless operations and accurate financial reporting.

**Your Qualifications and Expectations**:

- A minimum of one year of experience in SAP.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships.
- Proven ability to identify and articulate opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, taking initiative when necessary.

**Your Technical Skills and Scope**:

- A solid background in Accounts Payable systems, preferably with experience in SAP and Esker.
- Proficiency in accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes.
- Familiarity with purchase order processes and international shipping documents and procedures.
- In this role, you won't have direct reports, and you won't be responsible for a budget.
